Social Media & Screen Time
- Move your charger: Minimise screen time before bedtime and improve sleep quality by charging your phone outside of your bedroom.
- Hide TV remote or place it farther away: Make it less convenient to indulge in excessive TV watching.
- Set a specific time for social media: Set a specific time for social media use to avoid mindless scrolling throughout the day. If you want to take this even further, delete your apps or social media accounts entirely!
- Use an app for time management: Use an app to help you stay focused and manage your time efficiently (or just use the Screen Time feature on iOS).
- Replace your TV: Buy a projector instead of a TV, so that it takes more time to set up before you watch anything.
Health
- Remove junk food: Keep unhealthy snacks out of sight and replace them with healthier options.
- Place a water bottle in areas you spend the most time: Encourage hydration and reduce the likelihood of reaching for sugary drinks.
- Keep cigarettes out of reach: If you're trying to quit smoking, make it harder to access cigarettes by keeping them in an inconvenient location.
- Empty your fridge of sugary drinks: Make it easier to choose water or healthier options.
- Prep healthy snacks in advance: Have pre-cut fruits and veggies readily available for quick, healthy snacks.
- Set out vitamins or supplements: Make it a habit to take your vitamins by placing them in a visible location. Ideally near something you use daily, like the coffee machine or water dispenser.
- Replace your alcohol: Hide (or completely remove) your alcohol and replace it with healthier alternatives.
